After talking with a number of students this spring, I have decided to hold a few webinars to walk students through that process, help you create your study plan and get your questions answered!

With finals just around the corner, I realize scheduling may be difficult. Because of that I have decided to hold 4, 60 minute webinars, so you can choose a time that works best for you.

Webinars will be held Tuesday May 23rd at 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM
And Wednesday May 24th at 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM

‘Grow with Grant Thornton’ is Grant Thornton’s Summer Leadership Program for sophomore and junior University candidates. OSU Business Center:
The Auxiliaries & Activities Business Center (AABC) at Oregon State University is hiring student finance & accounting assistant employees.  Student accounting assistants help with financial document processing including scanning and entering invoices/journal vouchers/purchase orders, running reports, facilitating cash deposits for departments and student organizations, distributing manual paychecks, assisting with vault responsibilities, and completing special projects as assigned.  Student employees also assist walk-in customers and respond to phone/email inquiries in the Finance and Accounting office located in the Student Experience Center.

Please find attached the job description for the position and the application to apply.   To apply for the position, please submit a completed application with a cover letter and resume to the email address aabc.sec@oregonstate.edu OR drop off the application materials at the Student Experience Center, Suite 350 M-F between 8AM-5PM.  The type of students that we are trying to hire can come from any major, however, in the past, a majority have been business students, specifically accounting or finance majors. This position usually takes about half a year to a year to be fully trained and for students to be confident about the tasks they are performing. Therefore, the AABC-SEC is particularly looking for freshmen and sophomores to hire. But of course juniors are equally considered. I have attached the application form and the description of the position to the email. Intern Coordinator for the Business Systems Directorate (BSD) Intern Program at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in Richland, WA.  PNNL is a multi-program national lab, operated by Battelle for the Department of Energy. BSD provides finance, accounting, and project support to the lab’s research operations. Each year, BSD hires four to six interns to take part in our summer internship program. A Becker Account Manager provides continual local support and equips Campus Ambassadors with the tools and training necessary to complete responsibilities effectively.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates are college Juniors or Seniors, currently enrolled in an Accounting (or equivalent) major at an accredited college or university, and possess the following traits:
*Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
*Actively involved in accounting and/or business organization

Compensation and Benefits
Upon satisfactory completion of responsibilities, Campus Ambassadors receive a certificate for all four parts of Becker’s CPA Exam Review at no cost or at a reduced rate – a $3,393 value. This certificate is valid for any of our two course formats – Live and Online.
