1.  The OSU IMA club can send 2 to 3 students to the IMA Conference each year (fully paid by the IMA).
This year the conference is in St Louis at the Hilton St Louis at the Ballpark – November 1-3.

Scholarship
10 CMA Scholarships are available to students and announce this at the next BAP/IMA meeting. The benefits include:
IMA membership for up to 3 years while pursuing completion of the CMA exam Entrance fee to the CMA program
Exam Support Package – an assessment tool that can help assess the content covered on the CMA exam
Registration fees for the first attempt at both parts of the CMA exam
Wiley CMAexcel Review Course – comprehensive online materials for both exam parts (U.S. students only. Wiley materials must be claimed within 1 year, or the offer will expire.)

The CMA Scholarship is activated at the time a nominee joins IMA and registers for the CMA Program. The scholarship recipient has up to 3 years to successfully complete both parts of the CMA exam.

ON CAMPUS:
1.  Accounting students interested in working on campus? The posting closes on 6/1/2018. The position is more bookkeeping than accounting per se but I think it helps to gain experience working with a FIS system and learning to code the data that will eventually end up on the financial reports. I will get this announcement into This Week in Business as well.

The Business and Engineering Business Center is recruiting 1 part-time Student Accounting Assistant. This position will provide data entry support for accounts payable such as invoices, reimbursements, journal vouchers, and procurement requests; scan documents into document an archival system; delivery and/or pickup of documents as needed in various offices or units on campus; special projects as identified.

KPMG Portland’s ITAA practice is growing rapidly and looking to bring on a couple additional associates into our IT audit practice.
