Mercury Insurance Group is offering OSU students the opportunity to be a part of our summer Finance and Accounting internship program this year. I am pleased to report that two of the OSU summer interns have moved to Los Angeles after graduating and have full-time positions at our Company. Mercury is looking to find another Finance and Accounting intern this summer and we would greatly appreciate your assistance in passing this information on to your students.

SUMMER Leadership Opportunities with all Firms
These are short 1-2day events that students attend. They are fun activities, networking, games, etc… It is a way to learn about the firm. Some firms will offer internships after these leaderships so if you attend the summer leadership you also have the opportunity to have an internship the following summer (2020)

CAMPUS OPPORTUNITIES: PAID TUTORING
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is looking to hire 8-12 students to lead group study tables for the 2019-2020 school year! We are looking for students who are interested in helping others learn and have succeeded in any of the following courses: BA 211 & 213, No experience in peer education is necessary. We do most of our training during the Spring Term 2019.
Students who work for SI can look forward to:
· Creating their own term schedule, working 12 -15 hours per week
· Engaging in professional development for their current work and beyond
· Collaborating with other SI Leaders and course faculty to support students
· Working with a diverse group of students enrolled in traditionally challenging courses
· Getting paid to brush up on course content and create fun activities to help others learn

ACTION ITEMS:
1. Run for the student director positions of the Beaver Store Board of Directors. Applications are open now and elections are held in April. This is an amazing opportunity for students to have hands-on experience with a business (nonprofit). We review financial statements, financial issues and business events affecting the bookstore (i.e. clear bags at the sporting events).
The board meets once a month (3rd Thursday of the month – during the academic season (Sept – May)). There are 6 students on the 10-member board. They interact directly with the CEO/President and Controller. Go to http://osubeaverstore.com/
