“Need volunteer hours? Sign up for JA in a Day and come teach at a local elementary school! Junior Achievement (JA) is a nationally recognized curriculum that focuses on entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy. On Friday, October 30 and Friday, November 13, join the student club Enactus and volunteer teach for the morning. Curriculum and materials are provided as well as your breakfast and transportation! We would like volunteers to sign up a week before the teaching date so Friday October 23rd and Friday November 6th at midnight is the deadline to sign up for either of the volunteer dates and you can sign up for both. The winning team from Oregon will be invited to participate in the Semi Final Competition-location still to be determined-on January 15, 2016. From that group, one team will be chosen to compete in the National Competition in New York on February 26, 2016. Finally, the winning team from that round will go on to represent the U.S. in Dubai, United Emirates in April… to TAKE ON THE WORLD!
