The IMA is holding a holiday social on Tuesday, Dec 6 in Beaverton (see the attached flyer).
I would encourage students interested in the IMA to sign up and attend as it would help them make connections.

Every year, we host a one-day program called Explore geared toward freshmen, sophomores, and first-quarter juniors who are considering a business or accounting-related major, or looking for more information on a career in public accounting. The day is aimed to teach about the profession, network with PwC professionals, and develop leadership and teamworking skills. This year, the event will be held on Tuesday, December 13 from 10:00am to 4:00pm in our office in Portland. Applications are open, and the deadline to apply is Monday, December 5th.
PwC’s Explore program is an opportunity you can’t miss!

Who: We are seeking high performing students (freshmen, sophomores, and first quarter juniors) interested in considering a business or accounting-related major, or those looking for further information on careers in accounting and other business related fields.

What to expect
If selected, you will be invited to a unique and interactive afternoon program comprised of experiential learning and training sessions aimed at developing teamwork, strategic thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Not only will participation help cultivate these important characteristics, but it also provides a great networking forum with other students and PwC partners, principals, and staff. The Explore program is an outstanding opportunity for talented students to learn more about the accounting profession and to discover their own career goals and aspirations.
